Job Title: Family Intervention Worker
Purpose: To work as the Family Intervention worker, the role supports and challenges families to change their behaviour and prevent their social exclusion, appliying ‘people in the lead’ principles. Your work would also involve keeping accurate client records and attending case conferences, regular team meetings and completing statuory assessments produced from your observations and other sources. A key part of your work would be to help parents to improve their home management and parenting skills.
To ensure the monitoring of outcomes and output are evidence and on target, the project is funded by the Henry Smith Charity.
The kinds of challenges your clients might face include:
- drug and alcohol abuse
- criminal activity
- domestic violence
- mental distress
- debt/housing crisis
- child/adolescent risk
Hours of work: 22 hours a week (flexible)
Duration: fixed term contract for 1 years (subject to continued funding), the appointment is subject to a 6 month probationary period and will commence on or about 30th November 2020.
